Based on Ephesians 5:11–14, this study explains the Christian’s call to be a light in a dark world. Believers are commanded not to participate in the “unfruitful deeds of darkness” but to expose them. It provides practical guidance on how to expose these deeds both in the lives of believers and non-believers, emphasizing that this should be done with a loving attitude, though a firm tone may be warranted in some circumstances. The study concludes by encouraging reflection on one’s own response to the darkness around them and promoting a heart of compassion for those who have not yet been exposed to the light of the gospel.
