Focusing on Ephesians 4:25–5:2, Part 1, this study provides a practical breakdown of Paul’s three-step process for sanctification. It uses four specific sins—lying, anger, stealing, and unwholesome speech—as case studies. For each sin, it identifies what to “put off”, what to “put on”, and the doctrinal truth that is meant to “renew the mind.” The study highlights the critical connection between our inner thoughts and our outward actions, particularly with regard to speech. It explores the nature of righteous anger and the dangers of allowing the devil a foothold through unresolved anger.
