Izak Bakkes

We are honored to introduce Izak Bakkes, a dedicated presence in our Redeemer Fellowship family. Izak's journey is one deeply rooted in the word of God and the hope that we have through Jesus Christ our Savior.

Educational Background

Izak studied at The Master's Seminary in Los Angeles under the leadership of John Macarthur. His theological education has equipped him with a strong foundation in biblical knowledge and ministry.

Ministry Experience

From August 2016 to June 2019, Izak served as the associate of Grace Fellowship in Pretoria. Since the end of June 2019, he has been serving as the teacher of Redeemer Fellowship, bringing his passion for teaching the Word of God to our congregation.

Family and Faith

Izak and his wife, Taryn, are the parents of four boys: Jonathan, Benjamin, Jude, and Luke. They continue to parent their children, guided by Scripture

As the teacher, preacher and pastor of Redeemer Fellowship, Izak is guided by the wisdom of the Bible. One verse that resonates with his calling is:

"So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up."

Izak's role is to equip and build up the body of Christ, and his dedication to this mission is a source of inspiration for our congregation.

Nico Stucken

Nico Stucken, a dedicated leader in Redeemer Fellowship. Nico, along with his wife,Camila, became part of our fellowship in 2010. He was born in Port Elizabeth in 1974 to German parents and is one of five children. He brings a wealth of experience and passion to his role within Redeemer Fellowship.

Leadership in the Church

In Redeemer Fellowship, we believe that effective leadership is rooted in the teachings of the Bible. The Bible provides timeless wisdom, and one verse that resonates with Nico's commitment to leadership is:

"In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps."

Nico's journey, from his upbringing to his current roles in running a family business, including a wool and mohair textile operation and a motor car dealership, reflects the guidance of the Lord in his life. His dedication to serving both his family and our Church body, is a shining example of faith-inspired leadership.

Family and Faith

Nico's devotion extends beyond Redeemer Fellowship. He has been happily married to Camila since 2000, and they have four children: Luca, Nina, John, and Anna. His family life reflects the biblical principles of love, submitting to God's truth and nurturing faith within the home.

In his free time, Nico enjoys sports, fishing (whenever he can), reading a good book, and spending quality time with his family.

As a part of Redeemer Fellowship, we are thankful for leaders like Nico, who contribute to the spiritual growth of our congregation and demonstrate the values of faith, integrity, and commitment in their lives.

Jean Kilian

We are pleased to introduce Jean Kilian, started attending Redeemer Fellowship in 2019 and saved by God's grace in 2021.

His journey has been marked by steady growth in faith and a desire to serve the church community in meaningful ways.

Professional Background

Originally trained in Electrical Engineering, Jean now works in Software Development, showing the same dedication to excellence in his profession as he does in his walk with the Lord.

Jean’s heart to serve is evident in his involvement at Redeemer, where he consistently offers his time and gifts to support the life of the church.

Morné Killian

We are pleased to introduce Morné Killian, a faithful member of Redeemer Fellowship since 2022 and a devoted follower of Christ.

Church Membership and Faith Journey

Morné’s walk with the Lord is marked by a sincere desire to grow in the knowledge and wisdom of God. His heart is set on sanctification and on living a life that reflects God’s will. He seeks to be a useful instrument in God’s hands, faithful, humble, and steadfast in service.

Professional Background

Morné works in poultry sales for Astral Foods, where he carries the same integrity and diligence that characterize his spiritual life.

Family

He is married to Elizke Killian, and together they are building their home on the foundation of Christ’s truth and grace.

Faith and Service

Morné’s commitment to the Redeemer family is evident in his willingness to serve, encourage, and grow alongside his brothers and sisters in Christ. His example reminds us of the quiet strength found in faithful obedience to God’s call.

Marius Bester

Allow us to introduce Marius Bester, a respected elder within our Redeemer Fellowship community. Marius's life is deeply rooted in faith and is marked by dedication and service.

Life and Leadership

Born in the seventies and educated in the eighties, Marius graduated in the nineties, all in his beloved Port Elizabeth. For more than two decades, he has passionately served as an accountant in the automotive industry, demonstrating the values of diligence and commitment in his career.

Family and Faith

Marius is happily married to Marietjie, and together, they have raised three adult children.

Leadership in the church

Marius's aspiration to serve as an elder is indeed a noble task, and his dedication to the well-being of our congregation reflects this calling.

Becoming Part of Our Fellowship

The Bester family became a cherished part of Redeemer Fellowship around 2011.

Since then, Marius has been a pillar of strength, wisdom, and spiritual guidance within our community.

Rudi du Plessis

We are pleased to introduce Rudi du Plessis, a dedicated deacon in our Redeemer Fellowship family since 2023. Rudi's journey is characterized by a profound commitment to serving our congregation and fostering spiritual growth.

Deacon Service

As a deacon, Rudi plays a vital role in the life of our church. He has been instrumental in various aspects of our church's ministry, offering support, care, and leadership to our members. Rudi's dedication to serving is evident in his willingness to assist with various church activities and ensuring the well-being of our church community.

Church Membership and family

Rudi became a valued member of our church family in 2017. Since then, he has actively contributed to building strong community bonds and facilitating the spiritual growth of our congregation. He is married to Ruth du Plessis who also serves faithfully with him in the music ministry.
Together they are building their home on the foundation of Christ’s truth and grace.

Educational Pursuits

Rudi's commitment to growth extends beyond the church. He completed his studies as an Electrical Engineer and is currently working in Virtual Commissioning and Digital Twin technology, demonstrating his dedication to both his personal and professional development.

Ludwig Liebenberg

It’s a privilege to introduce Ludwig Liebenberg, a valued member of Redeemer Fellowship for the past 1 and a half years.

Church Membership & Family

Ludwig has been actively involved in our church, alongside his wife Alushka and their two children, Jurgens and Louw. Together, they help strengthen our church community and spiritual family.

Ludwig is a skilled Software Developer who combines his passion for technology with his commitment to faith.

Ludwig’s dedication to his faith is evident through his active participation in church life and his desire to serve others. His heart for the lost motivates him to serve with compassion and a focus on outreach.
